We specialize in fly fishing - our guides tie every fly by hand. Whether you've never held a rod or you've been casting for decades, we'll put you on fish in some of the most spectacular scenery on earth.
Flagship Lake
Maligne Lake
Rainbow Trout
Brook Trout
The centrepiece of Jasper National Park and our most-booked destination. Glacier-fed, deep, and surrounded by peaks that rise straight from the water. Rainbow Trout here are athletic and explosive - they jump clear of the surface. Brook Trout, nicknamed "the Bulldog" by our guides, pull straight down with deceptive power.
"The Rainbow Trout at Maligne are aerial acrobats. When one takes your fly and clears the water, time stops."
Season: May–September | Ice-off typically late May | 1 hour from Jasper
Maligne Lake opens when the ice goes out — typically late May to early June. We’re taking bookings now for any date and will confirm your trip as ice-off approaches. Early season dates fill fast.
One of a Kind
Talbot Lake
Northern Pike - Sight Fishing
One of only four lakes in the world with Northern Pike in the mountains. At an average depth of just 4.5 feet, the water is crystal clear - you watch the "slough sharks" charge your fly across the shallows. They hit with bad intentions.
"It gets the hair on the back of your neck standing up, watching a slough shark chasing your fly." - Chris David, Head Guide
Season: May 16 - September 30 | Lake record: 27 lbs
Spring Fishing
Pyramid Lake
Rainbow Trout
Lake Trout
Whitefish
Pyramid Lake fishes brilliantly in spring - May through mid-June - before the lake trout retreat into deep water for summer. If you're visiting in spring, this is a worthy addition to your Jasper itinerary.
"Pyramid sits right at the edge of town, but it fishes like wilderness. Early season, it's one of the best kept secrets in the park - fish it before mid-June, before the lake trout go deep for summer."
Best Season: May 16 - mid-June | Near Jasper townsite
